Agree that both goals were poor goals to give up but can't disagree more with the "we're being dominated" posts. We're controlling possession well, just haven't done anything with it. Haven't been set up well when we lose possession and Baylor has countered well. The new formation being played tonight maybe has something to do with it but that's been the case all season and probably will be all year with Coach liking to play on the front foot. Need to be more organized and tighter together when we lose possession to stop counters, but overall we have had a ton of the ball and moved it well, just haven't progressed it forward enough.

I'd argue we could possess the ball better and lull them into a mistake. Can still pass better. What I love is the intent on your points relative to the past half decade. We're making strides relative to development and execution.

Agree. We could absolutely do more with the possession which as one of my points. But you can see what the coach at least is trying to do. They're just not all on the same page yet so one too many misplaced passes and then the Baylor attack just goes full speed ahead. Probably has at least some to do with the different formation tonight and subs in the midfield/front line, but it's still preseason. That what every game is for before conference starts.

It's going to be a painful season. This team is slooow.

When I saw the result of the Baylor Arky game the other day I knew this would be a tough W to get. But I think it's a great measuring stick in the early season. It took Lenard a few years but she has recruited and built a legit program at the D1 level after doing a pretty good job at the D2 level for several years.

Shuttleworth will get it done. It may take a little time, but I think he's gonna build a great program. Tonight he is playing a coach that is in her 5th season at Baylor and recruited the Texas girls soccer pool for over 20 years. She's pulled some great players into Baylor from HS clubs ranks and the portal.

Baylor poured it on Arky in the second half of the game the other day. I rooted for the win here tonight, But I like where Shuttleworth is at with a better result than Arky got off this team.

I predict that a close loss against Baylor will end up looking good our resume by the end of the season. They will be climbing the ranks throughout the year. Baylor is a good team.
