I think Spain might be better but I think Argentina retains the title.

Spain is going to be looking for some payback for that 1816 declaration of the region's independence after having handled the French this time.

Spain seems the better side but Argentina just feels inevitable at this point, doesn't it?

My prediction would be Spain, but I wouldn't lay a single dime on that. Argentina has too much Mahomes/Brady vibe going that you'd be a fool to bet against them.

Spain has been the best team, workman like and professional. People thought France was going to beat them because of the attack and flare and style France was winning with, but Spain made them look average. France never looked like a genuine threat that entire game. If Spain goes up 1-0 they won't change their approach, like England did, because they won't have to. They only gave up one goal all tourney, so all they have to do is just keep playing their game with zero adjustments.

For Argentina, I think the best approach is to come out GUNS BLAZING. Absolute attack! You have to know that if you go down 1-0 the odds are very slim. BUT if you attack and go up 1-0, then you immediately force Spain to do something they haven't done all tourney and that is play from behind. That is your best bet, to try and make Spain uncomfortable.

Spain have an extra day of rest and Argentina also played two extra time games.

Spain is also peaking at the right time. Yamal and Williams started the tourney gimpy, but both are fit now.

I hope that means Spain steamrolls and that's what I'll predict… I'll say a 2 goal margin.

But even if I were a gambler I wouldn't bet on it. Argentina/Messi can always find a way to win.

I'm glad I'm not a betting man. On paper, I would clearly pick Spain.

But Argentina has the MoJo. Yesterday's results put an exclamation point on that thought. Spain is the obvious choice in my opinion...but with Messi...anything can happen.

The FIFA executives have got to be turning cartwheels over this final.

Hard to go against Messi & Co and I've done that every round saying they haven't played anyone. I still stand by that.

I think they would have lost to Switzerland if they didn't have Embolo pull the stupidest dive in World Cup history. The Swiss stayed on top after their goal and looked far more likely to score a 2nd and win up until the red card.

Then yesterday I think if England win if they don't park the bus and had stayed on the front foot. They were creating chances and limiting Argentina to long range shots. Whoever decided to just hand the ball to Argentina and park in the final 3rd just gave them the game.

I don't think Spain will do that. Spain wants to be in control at all times and has had the best defense. They aren't going to just hand the ball to Argentina. My concern is will they be creative enough to find goals on the other end.

PKs after a nil-nil 120 minutes. Argentina win it 4-3 and Emi Martnez gets to gyrate with the trophy again. Lol

On paper Spain is the better team, more complete than the baby blue whiners

Refs however, have gifted the neo nazis goal after goal and have ignored obvious fouls that would go againts the neo's.

So honestly, expect what we have watched the last week of the knockout round. Nazis to get all the calls in their favor and Spain to have to play againts the refs. Nazis 3 Spain 1.
My demon woke me up this morning and said bruh, I'm tired... So I handed him a Red Bull and said come on little buddy, we got bridges to burn and chaos to spread.

You might be right.

Just my opinion...I hate penalty kicks. Play like the NHL...you keep on playing until someone scores.

I don't mind PKs but they need to change them. This "do the cha-cha" on the way to the ball has to stop. It's ridiculous. I am in favor of the ball on the dot, the goalie has both feet on the line, then blow the whistle and they both can move. As the shooter if you want to pick a spot and go then you have all the advantage in the world, but if you want to dance around and convulse on the way to the kick, then the goalie is on your arse and the angles are gone.

I don't care if it's even a team I'm rooting for, I will actively root against any shooter who doesn't just kick the dizzamn ball!

Yeah I would be in favor of the goalie being allowed to come out when they blow the whistle to stop the long run ups and stutter steps

Pulling for Spain. Really don't like Argentina, sans Messi.
