Yokel's anthem reviews
This is one of the best anthem matchups of the group stage, but I have to give it to the Netherlands. "Wilhelmus" is the oldest national anthem in the world in its current form (melody + lyrics), dating back to the 1590s. Simple, clean, and elegant--I have it in the top 5 for the competition. The Dutch players can't sing, however.

The words to the Japanese anthem are over 1000 years old, but the melody is from the 19th century. The melody of God Save the King may be older as well, but the first documented setting of the melody to the current words is from the 18th century.

Maybe the best color matchup we'll get all tournament.

Sweden might have my favorite color combo of any team and the Oranje are iconic. (Though they're missing out by not doing a dark blue away kit with orange accents which looks amazing.)

Why did that Sweden defender not stop the cross.

I'm not sure if Sweden is any good, or if Tunisia was just horrible. Not a good start.

Looks like I was right. Sweden was shellshocked. Break let them organize and slow things down. These mandatory specified breaks really change the game.

Attempts on goal is like 9-5 Sweden, but the Dutch look so much better as an organized squad. They didn't show in the stadium- how far off side was the disallowed Sweden goal?

Sweden showed some life at the end of the half but it's back to business early for the Dutch

Honestly with the seasons Van Dyke and Van de Ven had, I would be suprised if the Dutch don't give up goals against better teams.
