Strategy should be to pack the box....give Fuller all the support she needs for a shutout....then win in PKs

A&M must win the first game. A tie and advancing on PKs wouldn't be enough because we almost certainly lose to Arkansas and then we're below .500.

I believe a change for this year is the return of the golden goal.
From the NCAA rulebook:

"7.2.1 Up to two sudden-victory overtime periods of 10 minutes each shall be played. The first team to score wins the game."

That's correct. It's already occurred in other conference tournaments. For example, Kansas beat West Virginia in the second overtime period of a Big 12 quarterfinal this evening.

Texas' goals were an own goal and the lucky floater.

Arkansas' goal was on a botched clear that operated as a pass in the box to the Arkansas player. Both teams had goals called back by the referee after replay.

Arkansas looked like they had the better team to me, which isn't surprising since they are. Too bad it wasn't in the real tournament.

Not as lucky as the Stanford shot, but shades of the same with the keeper misjudging/misplaying it (and 1:20 left in the 2nd OT rather than with time expiring in regulation).

I much prefer the hard clock to professional soccer and the flexible timing allowing an attack to finish after whatever extra time is posted. Let the clock stop whenever there is stoppage, and the referee can signal it.

Good to know tu can just waltz right in their first year and already win a conference champ, doing hot in football, and whatever else their money is buying at the moment. Kinda funny how it's working that way.

they've won 9 sec games this year, in the past 4 years combined we've won 14, yet we refuse to fire our coach

Texas was 6-3-1 in the SEC this year. The finished behind mighty Mississippi St. and Arkansas. Their RPI is 16 (including games thru SEC tourney semifinal).

That is kind of where we want to be in a year that isn't a really special year.

Kudos to them for having a nice week (and yes we had a poor year).

We're too busy playing Mr Nice Guy and keeping older coaches around longer than we should. Meanwhile we're getting passed up by other in state schools and sec schools. They did it in softball, baseball, men's basketball, even women's basketball Gary Blair gave up recruiting and left the next coach absolutely nothing to work with. We all know how horrific the football situation has been. Soccer is in its worst 4 year stretch. We can't keep allowing this once great soccer program to fall further and further away from the top programs. Over the past 4 years we maybe have had the 5th-7th best soccer program in Texas

I've noticed.
All of our sports, including the ones we had great performance with, have fallen. It's pathetic and I'd like to know why.
