The Aggies continue their Connecticut road trip on Sunday with a game at UConn. This game kicks off noon central time (1pm local). I think it will air live (for free), here: https://uconnhuskies.com/watch/?Live=6556&type=Live

UConn has amassed a respectable record of 5-1-1. The loss came to Wisconsin (1-2). The tie came to Vermont (2-2). Both of those decisions came at home at the excessively named Joseph J. Morrone Stadium at Rizza Performance Center.

The Huskies are on a roll now, rattling off 5 straight wins. This is likely to be their biggest game of the year, though not the most consequential. Let's hope for goals.

Based on last year's end of year RPI, UConn is our highest ranked non-conference opponent, just edging out TCU for that honor.

A road win against UConn would certainly be a good one come season's end.

Our two previous games were against poor opponents and we played poorly. So many lousy passes. So many senseless long balls. Our talent level on average is just average.

We have a handful of quality players but not enough of them to make the team consistently dangerous. Fortunately our back line and keeper are quite good. Our center backs are very good, our outside right back is good and our outside left back is acceptable. Our offensive abilities are somewhat limited.

Beating lesser caliber teams is required this season. Playing for ties against better teams may be the our only option. Beating the best teams will be very challenging.

Yes. I had to turn off my ad blocker to get the stream to work.
