I really liked Alex Morgan and thought she was a class act. Sorry to see her go, but it was time.

35 and about to have a second child.

She's a gem. Glad to say I've been able to see her play in person a couple of times. Hope she enjoys retirement.

i assuming several were just shocked that the new manager would have the stones to do it. not that she was necessarily the top performer anymore.

Was anyone who follows the team shocked?

She had a great career and was a good role model to a generation of 13s.
