Though they don't mention Saudi or Saudi Arabia anywhere in the press release.

CONCACAF and Saudi Arabia together? What could possibly go wrong?

I'm curious… what do they get out of this deal? Youth players go to Saudi clubs or something?

Soft power. Likely a ton of Saudi branding during CONCACAF games and various Saudi sponsored events. Saudi Aramco is already the "official energy partner" of CONCACAF. This is just an extension of that.

Well that's just super. It'd be cool if federations and leagues would put their foot down on accepting state money but I guess that's a pipe dream.
