We got bullied all game and only got a couple of free kicks out of it. I saw at least a dozen times when German players just pushed us down or off the ball from behind and we got maybe 2 calls

The defense Germany played on Aarronson at the end of the game, at the edge of the box, where they gave up a free kick that was too close to be dangerous, is great effing defense. in that sequence they closed down BA and weren't afraid to play hard at the spot on the field.

Our D ball-watches too much and gets caught flat. imo we're overly cautious about giving up a free kick, we stand and don't keep our feet moving. we were burned in front of the goal.

germany's defense is decidedly better. my main takeaway
