I'm gonna give a hot take here and say i actually like the best of 3 setup for the playoffs. I hate PKs in every game though, change it to first to 5 points instead with GD tiebreakers and overtime in as a possibility in game 3 and I think we're cooking with gas. Wouldn't hate it for other non-championship rounds either, but there's no way they can stretch the season that long.

I've refrained from posting about this because I'm sure very few people know much about him, but as a Leipzig fan (don't ask) he's one of my favorite players. And I'm quite certain that in my relatively short time following club level football (since Jan 2017, semi-arbitrarily choosing Leipzig) this is the first player I've been a fan of who's transferring to a lesser league due to age/fitness.

Today had all the feels. He subbed on in his last home game, and he completely changed the game - scoring the go-ahead goal and setting up another goal off a saved shot. Previously this week he started Leipzig's meaningless UCL match against Young Boys and he scored and assisted there too. He's going out on quite the high.

I'd say he's got at least one solid year left in him where he ought to be an elite MLS player, and probably a couple more where he's still useful after that… if nothing else for his leadership. His English is excellent and he has a great attitude.

The union representing MLS refs has unanimously voted to strike if there's no new labor agreement w/PRO by Jan. 31, sources tell @MLSist & I.
