I have managed to secure a few tickets for the Manchester United game on March 5 through a hospitality package deal. We are granted access to Anfield 3 hours before the match, have access to a buffet, and are allowed to stay one hour post-match. Has anyone else purchased the hospitality package and can provide some insight into what else we can expect? This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me and would like to be as prepared as possible for maximum enjoyment.

TIA

Sure! The more the merrier!

Told my wife in May that we needed to go see Liverpool while they were still good and at the height of their powers. Started planning this trip in June and well, now this season is less than expected. Oh well. But I am still very excited to see Anfield and Liverpool play in person. Plus, it's a Man U game!! Taking the two year old on a transatlantic flight should be interesting...

So jealous. I think with those a former player typically shows up. Question, did you have to buy through obtaining a club membership or buy the hospitality as a one off?

I'm starting to plan for a Fall 2023 trip. With the way we are playing, tickets may be easier to obtain!

It was a one off. No membership was needed.

I did it once for the Merseyside Derby but mine was a little different. The pregame meal was offsite at a hotel in downtown and they bussed you in to Anfield. They had a couple of former players (don't remember who)there and some raffle type giveaways. They had the players talk about current state of the team and what to expect tactically in the match. The people there were almost all international fans from all over the world. After the match they bussed you back to the hotel and you went on your way.

The seats were in the Anfield Road end and they're pretty tight quarters between seats.(close together in front and the side).

It was a good experience, even with the bus in since I had to stay downtown anyway I didn't mind it since i didn't have to worry about traffic. Of course, the match environment was fantastic. Liverpool took it to the Toffees 5-2 and Liverpool fans were antagonizing the Everton fans the entire time.

Even that experience sounds pretty amazing. I believe our seats are in the corner of the Kenny Dalglish stand near the Kop (to be fair, we weren't really paying attention where the seats were, just THAT we got seats).

I'll take a few pictures to share with y'all, for sure.

Im considering these ticket packages for Fulham match later in March. Problem is if either team advances to QFs of FA Cup it would take place that same weekend. LFC now eliminated but Fulham still alive.

This is why I started planning in June when the schedules were released. I made a big calendar with all available dates. I originally wanted to go to the Fulham match bc I thought they tickets would be cheaper. I mistakenly thought we were still going to be good and assumed we would at least make the QF of the FA cup so there was a high likelihood of the match being moved. The only one that fit my desired timeframe of mid to late February to end of March (kid turns 2 at the end of March and then I'd have to pay for a plane ticket for him) was the Manchester United game. Coughed up the extra cash for the game and chalked it up to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

Now it looks like we might get thrashed 3 or 4 - nil by United so that should be fun to watch.

So we had contacted this guy (and by we, I mean my sister did) about getting a hospitality package to the Man United game as we saw this as our only way to guarantee we'd get a ticket. We paid a pretty hefty price for it. But in hindsight, I'd pay it again and again to see Liverpool win 7-0.

Anyways, we got our tickets in an email about a week before with some instructions, namely to add it to you Apple Wallet (or whatever the Android equivalent is) for speedy entry. We were allowed into the stadium about three hours prior to kick off, but I couldn't wait so we were at the grounds about 5 hours prior. We walked around the stadium, patroned the shop, and visited various landmarks such as Hillsborough Memorial and the Shankly Gates. We then made our way to the Kenny Dalglish Stand and queued up to get in. Once in, we were directed to a "Premier Lounge." We had two options: Paisley Lounge or Shankly Lounge. We chose Paisley as it was the "further" one and we'd figure there would be less people. We were then treated to a buffet. There was some meats, charcuterie, gnocchi, sweets, and vegan options (they take vegan and food allergies very seriously in the UK. We were asked at EVERY restaurant we went to). Drinks were extra. We decided to make our way to our seats about 45 mins prior to kick off. Players came out to warm-up about 20-25 mins prior. An interesting note: the starting XI warms up separately from the bench. Also, the one-touch rondo is pretty cool. How those players know what to do three steps ahead is pretty cool to watch. Virgil is a very big man, Salah is so quick. During the warm-up, they do this shooting drill where a player shoots a dead ball, a moving ball, and then runs into the box for a cross. Salah's first go round, puts all three in the top corner. And the Kop let out a collective "Woah."

Players went back in the tunnels and came out a few mins later with the mascots to shake hands and whatnot. The kind of stuff you see on TV. And then "You'll Never Walk Alone." I had my scarf ready and sang my heart out. Not gonna lie, I teared up. I couldn't help it, it was a moment I had been waiting for pretty much my whole life. Soon it was kick off and wow is that stadium loud. Kyle Field has a capacity of ~112,000 (or whatever it is they say it is) and Anfield has a capacity of ~55,000. I am telling you, when Gakpo's first half goal went in, that stadium was as loud as any TD I have ever seen at Kyle. It was amazing.

We could have gone back to the lounge for half-time, but we decided to stay in our seats and just take it all in. And good thing we did, because I don't think we would have made it back to our seats in time for Liverpool's second. And then the night went from unbelievable to surreal. Goal after goal. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. Like a hot knife through butter, Liverpool just had their way through the Man United defense (Side note: Bruno Fernandes is as much a b*tch in person as is portrayed on tv. The man is in the ref's face THE ENTIRE MATCH. Arguing Every. Single. Call. It's exhausting to watch). (Oh and also, how Martinez did not get like 3 yellows was beyond me). I didn't watch Man U over the weekend but I don't know hoe EtH keeps Bruno as his captain after that performance. To me, Luke Shaw was the only player hustling on United. Even at 7-0, he is sliding and preventing Jota from getting number 8. (Whether that should have been a pen is a conversation for another time.

I digress. My sister's favorite player is Roberto Firmino. And all she wanted to do was see him play. And when he came on, the Kop let out a roar. Almost as loud as any goal. And when he scored, my god. If there was a roof, it would have blown off the place, such was the reception he got. And deservedly so. I wish him nothing but the best in his next chapter and whatever else he decides to do in life. He has been w magnificent servant of Liverpool Football Club.

Match ended and we stayed for a few to clap the players off. The only thing missing was Klopp punching the air to the Kop. But alas, he did not oblige. We were allowed back into the lounge for one hour post-match to wind down and let the crowds die down a bit. And we walked back to our Airbnb.

It was the most incredible of experiences and I cannot recommend it enough. It is hands down, the greatest venue + atmosphere in professional sports. Nothing compares. I'd be happy to answer any questions for those interested. But I'll post some additional pictures from the day and from the Stadium Tour that we took a couple of days before.

That's so cool. I want to wait a few more years until my son is old enough to really appreciate a trip like that... which unfortunately means I'll miss out on seeing some of this special group of players.

Thanks for sharing about the experience.

I dropped about $1000 on the Hospitality Package. Keep in mind, this was the Manchester United game. The other game I was looking at was the Fulham game and that was about $600. But I know how the schedule works and which games are likely to be moved. (Quick Google search on when FA Cup, CL Dates, etc are and you combine that with the Prem Schedule and you can see which games are likely to be moved if we progress. Now I thought we would be the ones progressing, not Fulham, but here we are.) So I opted for the Man U game where I knew that game was not going to be moved, plus it was United and just chalked it up to a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And that it was!

So cool. $1000 just for you?

There's another LFC fan in my neighborhood that I'm friendly (but not really friends) with. My wife is friends with his wife and she was trying to surprise him with a trip to Anfield. My wife was trying to work her family connections and wasn't making much progress.

Looks like you got an upgraded version of what I got for hospitality! Might have to go again and do the version you got. Thanks for posting your experience and the pics!

Yes, that was the price for each ticket. Hence why my wife and son did not go.

It was all in the new renovated section so I am sure that they have upgraded the experience since last time you were there. I would go again (Maybe not to Man U bc I don't think I could justify the price tag to my wife again). But another game would be awesome. Especially if it was a season where we are challenging for the title.

My wife told me afterwards that we could not have picked a better game to go to. Told her we were the good luck charms and needed to move to Liverpool and get season tickets. She quickly turned that down, saying she was not a fan of the weather.
