The Uruguay coach, FIFA officials and/or stadium/city security/police should have intervened to separate the Uruguay players from the referees. Emotions get high, though. In my junior year in high school, our coach had to tackle one of our guys to keep him from attacking the ref. Ref ended the game 27 minutes early.
Horrible ref, but it wasn't a good look for us.
