They have played possession and corners very well. Good to see. I know it's McNeese St., but good to see aggression, placement, and finishing.

The game was a clear mismatch, but at least a lot of ladies got to play.

I don't believe they got a shot on goal.

We get two more home games before we on the road for two big ten games.

11 substitutes played. Carroll only played 24 minutes so I wonder if the coaches are being careful with her playing time. Calzada played the whole game.

Obviously a good performance tonight against a horrendously bad McNeese side. They just sat back and allowed A&M to attack all night.

Saw some good things tonight, especially on set pieces (we scored off a beautiful corner by Matula and perfect header) and end line runs with many good crosses into the box. Mia Pante was really good and seems improved from last season. McDonald had a nice game with a couple of goals. Still looking forward to having Hayes and Carroll up top as starters. The back line didn't have to do much but Samples played much better tonight with some well timed passes forward. And Calzada continues to impress. She's so fast on the outside I would be tempted to play her up a bit in the field.

The midfield was improved, especially Beccera, who I think will start emerging as a key player soon. I'm not sure what we are doing with Cornog but I'd like to see her in more quick give and goes in the middle of the attack.

Anyway, a feel good win and hopefully some things can be carried over against tougher opponents down the road.
