Good road win for the women. They completely dominated the scoring chances and capitalized when they got the chance.

Camera work was amateurish being kind. It looked like the camera was in the press box at an angle where the nearside corners were blocked by the window edges. The first twenty minutes or so, the camera person apparently decided that zooming in on plays was beyond his paygrade so the players looked like ants and the ball like a bb. The A&M score was covered by the UK logo until the second half.

I hope no one there is considering a telecasting career.

A&M played well in the midfield as they connected in the offensive third for scoring chances better than I've seen this season. We continued to get wide and serve many good crosses into the box, usually from Geczik or Pante. The first goal was a beauty. PK and a deflected rebound for a goal were lucky breaks, but we made them happen with hustle and lots of chances in the first half. The second half was choppy and the back line was very fortunate several times to keep Kentucky off the scoreboard. Kentucky outshot us even though they had little sustained possession. Jai Smith played tonight for the first time in a while, while Kenna Caldwell had 2 incredible saves to keep the Wildcats from making this a close match down the stretch. Kentucky is not a good team, but we took care of business and that's all that matters. Pepperdine will be a real test for this group on Sunday as we will be the underdogs without Olivieri.

A win is a win. First half was decent. Second half was less decent. The team couldn't sustain possession for any extended period of time. Bates and Pounds must step it up. Bates worked hard but didn't really make a difference. Pounds didn't do much (other than squeezing the PK in). Defense held up reasonably well but was shaky at times. Smith and Kolb hit a fair number of errant long balls. Sample was good as was our keeper.

Missing Olivieri is tough. I hope Pante is ok after her knock last night. What's up with Carroll being out? Is she in the "penalty box" for some unknown reason?

It's early in the season but the Pepperdine game is an important one for the team. They will be very tough. This is one of the few west coast teams that will be very well conditioned and ready for the Texas heat.

The highligjs of the game are laughably bad

Between Dave South jr calling the game and the zoom out couldnt tell what was happening
