We can't rely 100% on scoring on counters. I hope Jose can figure out a way to get Bale in more because I think we can benefit from his experience/knowledge and he is really creative with the ball at his feet. Ndombele continues to shine as a ball handler. Everything else is stale stale stale.

To be fair, Reguilon has taken some risky chances himself, they just happen to be further up the pitch and potentially not as consequential as a result. He also has significantly more pace than Davies. Overall, I think a back 3 with Davies on the left isn't the worst option we have, especially defending a lead.

Everyone is saying how much improved and how great Ndombele is this year, but the same could be said of him. He gives the ball away at least twice a game trying to do something nifty, yet there are only good things said about him, it seems.
