I knew Robbo worked his butt off last year, but I just checked: he played in 36/38 of the PL games, the full 90 or darn near for all but 3 of those.

A backup that can play similarly to him would be fantastic for depth.

I think the intensity level of several of the top managers in the game (Klopp, Pep, Pochettino) is impossible to maintain long term at one club. I never thought he would spend the next 20 years here and if he did the results would probably drop off (Poch at Tottenham style).

Whenever he leaves, he brought home a CL and PL trophy at a minimum. Hard to be grumpy with that.

As an outsider, I gained even more respect for him for having this attitude.

I'd argue it's good for the club too. Nothing is worse than the guy who's burnt out or lost the team or whatever and there's an ugly firing. This lets him leave on his terms and let's the club prepare.

Read a speculative article that says y'all might be interested in Nagelsmann. If Leipzig can keep him that long and he's good enough that y'all hire him, then it means the next few years will be fun for me, and I won't be too upset to see him move on to a better gig.
