Haaland winner in 90'+5 against Dsseldorf.

Brutal for Dsseldorf. They were fighting hard all game to avoid relegation. At times it looked like they could've gotten the 3 pts. That last miss off the post from them was a gut punch too.

Reyna had a pretty poor effort there. Lots of errant passes.

True the competition wasn't good, but often when two bad teams play each other the game is trash. Werder actually looked like they had a plan today.

They definitely have a chance. Both teams ahead of them have very tough games tomorrow, with Mainz playing Dortmund and Duesseldorf playing Leipzig.

Paderborn clinched relegation so they're done, but it's wide open between these three.

Of the three, Mainz has the hardest remaining schedule, with the aforementioned Dortmund and also Leverkusen. Mainz and Bremen play each other this weekend, so if Bremen win that game, it's likely that Mainz don't earn any more points this season.

Duesseldorf end the season with two winnable games after Leipzig tomorrow, facing Augsburg and Union Berlin. And knowing my luck, Leipzig will continue their penchant for getting draws in games they ought to win.

Bremen have very winnable games left, facing Mainz in the key relegation battle mentioned earlier, and then Koeln. They have a decent shot at getting 6 points and keeping Mainz from getting 3.

Also, for PL fans who may not know, in the Bundesliga, bottom two are relegated by default. #16 plays a two game home and home playoff against second division #3. So as long as they finish #16, Bremen have a path to avoid relegation.

Speaking of Bundesliga 2, Bobby Wood's Hamburg is currently poised to get promoted.

I've always wondered about the different promotion and relegation systems. The way the EPL operates is really harsh but that keeps it super competitive.

I didn't know how the PL worked until a friend of mine and I swapped notes.
