Cannon showed some flashes tonight too.

Didn't read this whole thread but we were as good as them for most of the game.
The subs Berholter me.
Overall, this tournament exceeded expectationss.

Cannon, Nipples, and Pulisic at least give me a little hope
Also like long
This theory is definitely about to be put to the test, with a lot of our top young players playing in Europe already..or about to move there.mrmill3218 said:Hickory High said:
So glad we have yet another coach that is just going to favor MLS players over our international guys.
I mean our sub selection tonight was a *********joke.
Been saying this for years. It's the MLS agenda and it's maddening.

He really Gyasied those subs.
Overall I think the tournament was a success for the USA. We clearly have questions to be answered and have some players that need to be replaced but I think we saw what GB is trying to do. We looked really good for a large part of this game. Defended well and opened things up on the attack.
I said it before the tournament started: make the final and be competitive. They did that.
Now let's hope some of our young guys get plenty of minutes with their clubs and earn their chances to help us qualify for Qatar.

Right sub, 15 minutes too lateHickory High said:
Seriously, can someone please explain the Lovitz sub decision to me???
It's more enjoyable when it's not a big game, if you enjoy people discussing tactics and the actual game. We get invaded in games like this.Marvin said:
So the soccer forum is just like the football version- posters calling other Aggies idiots and clowns. I love me some USMNT but not on here if that's the case.
Good tournament, just didn't finish. Keep improving though and hopefully the team will be positioned well in the coming years for the WC.

Just saying.
I think the best we can hope for is to just be 50/50 when we play Mexico, unless we find a way to limit who can buy tickets. We are also coming off not qualifying for the world cup, so it takes a bit for the casual fan to want to spend $100 on a game I'd imagine. Gotta choose locations where there aren't a ton of 1st generation immigrants and illegals living.MarylandAG said:
We get it PatAg you know better than the rest of us "idiots". No didn't miss the 1st half, of course we know this isn't our A team. Hope we can be mature and agree on this, we came up against a Mexican side that was beat-able for stretches we couldn't move the ball out of our own half. A win would have been big and it was frustrating to watch. As a huge fan of soccer, a season ticket holder for the torture that is the Dynamo, and fan of the game I'd like to see it advance to the point we aren't playing on US soil and it feels like an away game. We are just venting after a tough loss, no need for the "idiots" comments.

Roldan had his best performance of the tourney for sure.tremble said:
I actually thought Roldn made things interesting there in the second half. He and Pulisic were the only ones with a pulse by that point.

I think Jozy still has value as our only true hold up forward at this point.mrmill3218 said:Hickory High said:

Anyone who can go less than ten years without a meaningful goal.

Considering the night and day difference of when Jozy was in vs when he went out, I don't get how you can want him gone. I want someone to play well enough to replace him, of course.
I think playing Miazga over Zimmerman was an interesting choice.
