Those girls are way good.

Almost all played DA or ECNL.

Not to say it won't happen...

My daughter has a better chance in XC.

I think your only option at this point is to get one of your kids on scholarship.
Well she just went to the Stanford Soccer camp and won the award for top scorer in her session. She wanted to go to A&M's camp but conflict in schedule. So maybe we can figure something out.

I really think that this is an Adidas thing as much - if not more - as it is anything else. There were basically no baseball jerseys available this year, and there is a similar thread over there about that. I don't understand why Adidas wouldn't monetize on the opportunity because the demand really seems to be there for a few sports, but they just don't seem to make on field gear (at least replicas) being available to the public a priority.

Sounds like an Athletic Department thing, not an Adidas thing. If the Athletic Department wanted it, Adidas would make them.

The Athletic Department has guaranteed royalties from Adidas as part of the contract, so the Athletic Department gets the same income regardless of zero pieces of merchandise being sold or a billion pieces of merchandise being sold.

Generally, the Athletic Department does not sell merchandise. The exception to that is some game worn merchandise sold through special auctions and that sort of thing, but that isn't what we are talking about here.

The merchandise that we are talking about is sold by retailers, and those retailers have to go though Adidas (and other manufacturers) to get officially licensed merchandise and then sell it. While the merchandise you are buying may feel like it is coming straight from the Athletic Department, it is not and is coming from contracted partners of the Athletic Department. For example, the 12th Man Shop has clear language that the merchandise is being sold by Snow Commerce and not the actual Athletic Department. Those retailers buy directly from Adidas and are bound by what Adidas offers to those retailers to purchase and resell.

The Athletic Department can influence this situation, sure, but influencing the relationship between Adidas and any number of retailers at a micro level is not their focus.

I guarantee Aggieland Outfitters would've sold 1000s before camp.

The ones they gave the kids are a standard adidas soccer shirt with Texas A&M soccer on it.

The maroon and white hoops would've sold well.

Can a retailer like AO request from Adiadas?

They could request it but the minimum order would be huge. Someone here looked into it before I think. Someone like AO can't buy that much inventory up front. It would sit too long.

I doubt they would've sold 1000s as well. That's a huge number.

Agreed with '03 on the minimum order and up front cost of goods being prohibitive here. Another complication is that the minimum order would apply to both youth and adult sizes. So, in the theoretical situation that you are ordering for a summer soccer camp, you have to assume that you need both youth and adult sizes, and you have now essentially doubled your minimum order so that you get the appropriate run of sizes given your target audience.

It would not be a problem, if AO or a different outlet needs an investor to front money to carry Aggie Soccer jerseys all they need to do is post on this thread. I will invest if they are serious, but I will demand my share of the profits too.

Aggie soccer club members got game jerseys as our present this year. I've got an autographed Addie McCain at my house.

Again, if they want people to pre-order the jerseys, more than happy to do that too

If there has been a change and they are now available, please let me know and I will buy a handful now.
