It's the "Turn it Gold" Game to support childhood cancer research. The 1st 500 fans receive a Gold 12th Man towel.

Butler is 4-1-1. They play in the Big East.
Wins were: 1-0 @ Michigan State, 2-0 vs. Bowling Green, 1-0 vs. Eastern Michigan, 1-0 vs. Cleveland State.
They tied @ Notre Dame 0-0.
Butler lost @ Ohio 0-1.

They've only given up 1 goal so far? Hopefully we find the combination to unlock the scoring.

This is actually going to be a tougher game than expected. Butler looks for real this season, especially their defense.

0-0 vs ND is a good result, parking the bus and looking to counter is a decent strategy against us.

Kind of glad this will be a more difficult test for us than we anticipated before the season - keep working on that mental toughness as the SEC slate quickly approaches.

Hopefully Butler will also make some noise in the Big East. We could use the bump for RPI.

I was uh...just catering to the Butler fans that might be following along from the Eastern time zone.

Is anyone else watching the game on SEC+ having difficulty with maintaining a picture signal. Every now and then or so the tv screen will go black for a couple of seconds before regaining a picture. I'm trying to determine the cause of this problem. I'm watching the game on watch espn via suddenlink on a roku.

We've got some serious problems on defense.

Embarrassing first half by this team. Defense played weak. Offense couldn't capitalize. One of the most disappointing halves I've ever witnessed watching A&M soccer.

Work to do in the second half.

My picture looks fantastic on WatchESPN on Roku except for some weird black marks in the upper corner. Makes it look like Butler is up 2. Can't be right...

What's the problem?

It was pretty close, but probably.

Got frustrated early and that led to a loss of composure. An unfortunate look for the Aggies. Never should have given up those two goals.

Defense is something we can normally take for granted. We have three new pieces back there now (and one fewer players). It's been a rough start for them. Offense isn't clicking yet either, but we've had to play from behind a few times now and it puts an awful lot of pressure on the forwards while allowing the other team to focus on defense.

Unfortunately, the Butler game plan worked with a stout defense throughout and generate/score a couple opportunity goals for the win. Also, seems our forwards play was not very aggressive to goal.

C'mon, Ags! Pull yourselves together...there's a lot of season to face yet...

Butler took 4 shots in the first half and two went in, both on good counterattacks that did not give time for the midfielders to get back. Had some great chances early especially Ally and I really thought we were dominating on offense. Got a lot of set pieces early but did not convert. 7 goals in 5 games is not Aggie soccer. I think G was trying to protect Mikaela as he has been frustrated for several years the way teams seem to be allowed to rough her up. Thought we should have emptied the bench the last 5 minutes to save some energy for Sunday. Kendall was not in uniform tonight and Claudette did not play.

Our next opponent, ku, tied at St. Louis tonight 1-1, so at least they should be a little more tired than us. But then they beat Southern Cal last weekend.
