Ings apparently prefers Liverpool move, feels he will get more playing time. Keep in mind, Chadli scored more goals than ALL of Liverpool's strikers last season.

Chelsea slip into further debt as Tottenham record Premier League's highest ever pre-tax profit

Tottenham are amongst the clubs leading the Premier League's charge into profitability and sustainability according to Deloitte's 2015 Review of Football Finance.

Both Spurs and local rivals Arsenal were among nearly half of the league's clubs that improved their net debt/funds ratio. As a whole nine clubs, led by the two north London sides and Aston Villa, reduced their net debt by 205 million in the 2013/14 season, the most recent for which the company has obtained figures.
However it was not entirely good news for the capital's clubs. In spite of Chelsea's transfer policy bringing in big money for squad players such as Andre Schurrle, Kevin de Brunye and Romelu Lukaku this season's champions became the first club to top 1 billion in net debt.

During the 2013/14 season, when the club spent 30 million on Willian and 21 million on Nemanja Matic, owner Roman Abramovich provided 57 million in additional loans to the club he has owned since 2003.
With the club having brought in a record 99 miillion in prize money this season, and earned around 100 million in the transfer market, the club should be able to lessen their reliance on their wealthy owner.

With a series of bumper new television deals taking league revenue to 3.3 billion, over 1 billion more than nearest rival the Bundesliga, the outlook for clubs in the top-flight looks increasingly secure, with net debt amongst the 20 sides reduced by six per cent to 2.4 billion. In total 19 of the 20 clubs made an operating profit and for 13 it was their highest ever. Step down a division and the average Championship club is losing 9 million, emphasising the struggles for those surviving outside the monied elite.

New TV deals allowed the biggest clubs to record their highest ever profits. Manchester United recorded the league's largest-ever operating profit of 117 million whilst Tottenham made a pre-tax profit of 80 million.
These figures point to the growing disparity between the league's high flyers and the rest. As commercial revenue in the Premier League rocketed to 884 million 78 per cent of those commercial earnings were split between the four sides in the Champions League, Tottenham and Liverpool.

With Deloitte predicting that the total value of Premier League broadcasting rights during the next three year cycle (2016/17 to 2018/19) could top 9 billion it seems unlikely that this English success story will end any time soon.

Not here to deminish Spurs continued fiscal success, but I want to correct the record regarding my beloved Chelsea Football Club.

Chelsea just recorded a profit of 18MM on 320MM in revenue - the club's second profit in the past three years. With continued growth in sponsorship, like the lucrative new Yokohama deal, Chelsea is positioned to operate at the highest levels of a European powerhouse while still earning a modest annual profit.

When you look at Chelsea's debt, it is 100% interest free loans from the sole owner to the club. While this is still technically debt, it's a bit misleading without this context. Those rival fans expectantly waiting for Chelsea to experience a Glasgow Rangers-esque implosion will find themselves most disappointed. Rant over.

I hope you guys spend some of that money, and I wish you good luck into next season.

We won't even give Bentaleb a new contract... hopefully he doesn't get poached by a team willing to spend.

Pisses me off about Bentaleb. I first team player that a lot of teams in Europe are very high on making 7k/week is embarrassing. Probably has the most potential on the entire team.

I highly doubt it would ever happen, but a Kane/Benteke combination would be awesome! And Spurs would turn into Belgium's International team.

Chadli is encouraging several of his national team-mates to consider a move to the Premier League and particular to Spurs.
He told Sky Sports News HQ he would "love" to play alongside Benteke at White Hart Lane.
Chadli said: "I hope it's going to happen but first they have to attract him and there are a lot of clubs who want him - and Christian has to make his choice.
"Hopefully he's going to choose for us."

Apparently, at least according to sky, united made a 50 million offer for Kane yesterday. Damn, that's a lot of cash. Dont sell.

Even if Levy accepted, doesn't Kane have the right of refusal? I don't think he'd leave.

Tottenham will not sell Harry Kane or Hugo Lloris to Manchester United in transfer window, says Daniel Levy.

Daniel Levy has reassured Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino that he has no plans to cash in on Manchester United targets Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris this summer.

Tottenham agrees transfer fee for Burnley's Kieran Trippier.

http://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com/2015/6/16/8790183/tottenham-hotspur-transfer-news-rumors-kieran-trippier

quote:
Trippier would be Spurs' second signing of the offseason after central defender Kevin Wimmer. He would be a very solid rotation option and could easily step in and deputize or supplant Walker if needed, allowing DeAndre Yedlin to ease his way into the club via cups and Europa League appearances. This also means that we'd be seeing a lot more actual right backs playing right back and less Eric Dier playing out of position, and that in itself is a really good thing.

I like and don't like this move - I want Yedlin to get playing time, but Walker can't stay healthy and when the eventual injury comes we at least can still rotate RB's in and out of games to keep people fresh. And keep Vert, Dier, and whomever else isn't a RB from playing RB.
Ragnar Danneskjoldd
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Have to imagine Vlad and Kabool are on their way out, Dier wont be free to play RB as often (even though his vision and crosses are incredible), but yeah, I don't see Yedlin getting playing time this season.

I know its dumb, but the RM/RB thing he's been doing for Jurgen has worked out really well, in my opinion, Particularly in the Netherlands game. Maybe they can find him some sort of RWB sub role, but I doubt it.

Also, there's some RB youth prospect in the academy the guys on the Fighting Cock are really high on, seem to think he's already a better choice than Yedlin.

Maybe its just American glasses, but I think Yedlin has looked excellent in recent US matches.
jay040
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I could see him earning playing time, mostly in Europa, but he did well against the likes of Hazard in the World Cup. Obviously Walker has the starting RB locked down right now, but I can see him getting minutes.

It might be nice for him to go out on loan to a lower level EPL team, but I'd like to see him stay.

According to ESPNFC, Holtby officially sold to Hamburg. Not surprizing, but still a shame. i feel like he always gave it his all.

"Tottenham have confirmed that Lewis Holtby has agreed a permanent transfer to Hamburg.
Holtby, 24, joined Spurs in January 2013, but struggled to cement a starting role at White Hart Lane before joining Fulham on loan a year later.

The Germany international then joined Hamburg on loan last summer and made 22 Bundesliga appearances for the club, and has now sealed a move to Bruno Labbadia's side."

Not sure how much we got for him.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
CORRECTION: Capoue AND stambouli to watford. Its a midfield fire sale.

Not a big fan of having no true CDM's on the roster. But the money from 3 midfielder sales should buy a good replacement. But, DL will probably buy 3 players of the same caliber than one who is good.

Tottenham Hotspur and the NFL have reached an agreement for at least two games a year to be played at the Premier League club's new stadium.

It is expected to hold around 60,000 spectators and is due to open in 2018.
