Thinking of going back to school to become Dr. jeffk. Here are a few of the schools I'm looking at - Vanderbilt, Florida, TAMU (where I already have two degrees), Kansas, USC, Michigan St., U Mich., Oregon.
Would be studying education.
Thoughts on any of those?

Those others are too far from home. The commute to Oregon is a killer.
Depends on what you want to do with it.
Most likely teach future educators how to not suck at their jobs.
That or work with school districts to accomplish the same goal with their current teachers.

Academic diversity is imporant if you plan on teaching at a university... but if you are planning on going into administration it is less important.
I have no desire to ever be in school administration.

Personally, I don't think I'd want to live in Lawrence, Eugene or Michigan. However, the cost of living and tuition is going to be significantly more at a couple of the others. Especially if USC is Southern Cal and not South Carolina.
That's just looking at the basics without knowing a lot about the schools' programs.

Each of those schools are in the top 15 in the field and have programs that focus on areas I have interest in studying.
And USC is at the bottom of my list for the specific reason that it is in California.

Probably not going to make it in on Sunday - my week so far has sucked and doesn't look to be improving any time soon. I also have meetings most of Saturday morning to break down video and Sunday afternoon to (watch other coaches) formulate a game plan.
