The College Football system is a good one. The two best, most deserving teams are in it at #1 and #2. The undefeated team is in it at #3. And a hot team coming off of a resounding conference championship is in at #4.

They knew the rules and did what they needed to in order to get into the playoff.

College football is the only sport where not all teams in the league have a chance to play for the championship. Especially when one can win a strong power 5 conference and have an equal record as other conference winners, but no chance for glory.
