quote:
yo Sandy, do you like living in Cali? I've got an interview in El Segundo in a couple of weeks. Real possibility I could find myself living there soon.
I live near Monterey, little different life than Los Angeles.
But, my thoughts on California remain the same. The climate and geography are great. I love fishing in the bay, going to Big Sur, going to Yosemite, the cool weather. I cannot stand the politics. The politics cause my water and electric bill to be twice as much as I paid in Georgia, for half the consumption. I have to have a smog inspection on my truck per the state, but the price of the smog inspection isn't controlled by the state. The state encourages recycling by charging a CRV on bottles, but the refund isn't per can but by weight. To safe some fish, we can't have water to drink. Because of environmental wackos, it is taking forever to get more drinking water for Monterey, despite having known for decades that they needed more water.
So, do I like it? Yes. But I wouldn't live here for long. Things are more expensive because of liberal policies.
