I am looking to sell a 2.49-carat lab-grown diamond engagement ring. Fortunately, there isn't a treacherous story associated with this ring. Sometimes life just happens and things weren't meant to be. The ring is beautiful and set in a size 5.5 14k white gold band. Details are in the pictures. As my ignorance of jewelry pricing has been pointed out, I am lowering the price. I had no idea that appraisals were so inflated. I found the original BOS and $4300.00 was paid. Price has been lowered to $2150. As previously stated, there isn't any good story. No marriage/divorce. We learned the hard way that blending families with multiple teenagers on both sides is EXTREMELY difficult and mutually decided to split ways. I appreciate the helpful feedback.

Appraisals done for insurance purposes tend to be ridiculously inflated. Just saying…

I am not remotely familiar with or knowledgeable about jewelry. Thank you for pointing this out. I had no idea. The price has been adjusted.

I'm not trying to be negative; it might be really difficult to sell if the price you're asking is based on an insurance appraisal.

It's a gorgeous ring. Good luck.

My son had bought an engagement ring, but it never happened. I listed it on craigslist and eventually sold it for half of what he paid. Unfortunately for diamonds, you pretty much have to buy at retail and then sell at wholesale or worse. But essentially you need a way to wash the history and let people just see it for the stone and ring that it is. Good luck.

Bump for lower price. Hill08 was much more accurate than I ever would have guessed.

Unfortunately. When we upgraded years ago, I couldn't believe the loss of value those things had.

One final price drop before it just sits in the safe. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Staff. I did give legitimate advice. I buy on average 2-3000 diamonds per year. My opinion was to protect Aggie buyers who are going to get ripped off on a lab grown stone(not the OP's fault). If this doesn't help then delete it as well.
