This 4Runner was originally purchased and registered in Houston in 2007. I'm the 5th owner. This has been a Texas vehicle 2007-2018, then we towed our boat to Maine in 2018 and left it there for summer use the last 4 years. Worked great, but wanted a 4x4 truck up there to use year round, so we Just made the drive back to TX without issue….hence the Maine plates.
Well maintained! Lots of recent maintenance, brand new rear brakes. Tires have 2019 date code, lots of tread. Brand new full size spare. Records available! No dash lights or codes present. All interior and exterior lights work as intended. Mechanically solid, she fires up every time and has never left me stranded. Owned another one of these that I sold at 225k miles…still going strong. Tons of life left in this V8….I'd consider 150k miles "low mileage" on this power train.
Cosmetically, well…she has character. Rear lift gate dented in multiple places. Functional, but a bit more difficult to lift. Scratches and dings on several panels, so you don't have to worry about parking far away from grocery carts at HEB.
Interior is clean throughout. Factory JBL sound system still sounds great.
Overall this 4Runner drives great, should be cheap to maintain and last another 100k miles. If you can overlook the exterior blemishes, it'll make for a great driver! Maybe a good option for your new teen driver or college student to haul back and forth to CS.
