For sale is a Stoeger Cougar 8000 9mm pistol with two 15 -round magazines. Located in Round Rock and prefer selling to a LTC holder. Price is $350.

I don't know the round count, but I'd say it has less than 1000 rounds down the barrel and it probably hasn't been shot in nearly 10 years. Pistol is clean and just needs a little lube before it's range ready. Makes for a perfect truck gun.

Long story short, from what I understand, Beretta was making the Cougar but moved the manufacturing equipment to Turkey and produce under the Stoeger badge. PX4 kind of took the place of the Cougar in Beretta's lineup.

I own a Stoeger Cougar and I really like it. I've had mine for 10ish years and it's never failed to go bang.

Interesting history. I've always liked PX4s. GLWS.

I'm glad someone knows the story behind the pistol. I bought it in 2007 or 2008 when there was still a Sportsman's Warehouse in Round Rock. It's nothing fancy and like aftershock said, it's always gone bang. I'm only looking to sell so I can fund a new PCC rig for USPSA.

That looks like a good pistol.

I have a cougar in .40 and a px4 storm in 9mm. Both handle about the same only the .40 has a little more pop. Both awesome guns.

Why do all these sales get SPF before I find them?

I'm hindsight I wish I would have jumped on this. Good looking gun at a good price.
