My wife and I are starting a side gig selling swing beds. I built one for our family a few months ago, and we've gotten quite a few comments on it and they are fun to build.

The swing bed pictured below is a crib-sized mattress, which is a good size for two adults (56" wide and 30" deep). I can also make a twin-sized mattress.

You can pick your stain and the swing will come with the rope and all necessary equipment to install. I'm in Dallas but I travel to College Station, Houston, or Austin quite regularly.

I've used yellow pine for the few I've built and use a stain/polyurethane to stain & seal it.

I can build it with any type of wood you would like though.

I've put my family of 5 on it and it held up fine. We estimate our total weight to be around 500 pds. I've seen other folks have limits of 550 for typical porch swings.

Thanks for the nice words, Chris! It was great working with you.

For context, the picture in the OP is a crib sized mattress, and the swing that Chris went with fits a twin sized mattress.

Thanks again everybody for the interest! It's been fun to build swings for folks on the site. Here are a couple pictures we received from a recent customer.

Crib mattress sized swings start at $600 and twin size swings start at $800. We can deliver to most places around Texas for an additional fee.

I'm trying to keep delivery costs low by batching deliveries and it looks like we will be making a run to B/CS next weekend, so you might be able to save a few bucks if you are interested and live in the area and can take delivery next weekend.
