Legendary Yamaha reliability, with a simple bulletproof design you can work on yourself. Two stroke torque in a light weight package that the newer 4 stokes haven't been able to match yet.
Just did a carburetor rebuild and installed new float, needle valve, and gaskets. The late models of the Yamaha 25 carburetor had tamper proof idle air screws (to meet EPA requirements) that were prone to failure. I've replaced them with the sturdier pre-EPA style screws. New spark plugs.
Motor idles smoothly. Cooling water pump is strong. Forward / Reverse shifts work fine.
6 gallon fuel tank and fuel hose included.
Can run for buyer on a stand.
Issues:
Prop is dinged up but serviceable. Will need replacement for best performance.
The anti-ventilation plate has a chip missing on the back left side. I am including a new Doel-fin hydrofoil which will cover the missing chip and help smaller boats plane better.
