I live near The Woodlands, but I'm looking to replace a firepit/grill I inherited in a Galveston home. So I'm looking to buy something anywhere between here or there within reason.

People use it for s'mores, grilling steaks, burgers, etc.

Do you know what the lead time is on these? Do they keep some basic models ready for same day pickup?

Varies with the season.

I visited their shop and talked with the owner. Best quality I'd seen anywhere.

They do keep some basic models ready to go but if you want something added I think it was a couple of week wait.

Drove out to the nearest Bucees to buy my last firepit. Decently priced good option.

Just picked up a fire pit from Lone Star Grillz.

To answer my previous question, they do have a few fire pits of each size ready to go if you do not need any custom lettering or work.

I just dropped it off down in Galveston. I'll be back down there in a few weeks and get a good picture. It makes our last fire pit look pathetic.

Actually dropped it off and i'm already back to North Houston.

This is exactly what I got - basic no customization model. Got the 48" for $595 - has a 36" grate. Grate goes up and down and swings completely out on a simple but thoughtful mechanism:





I believe these pics are of their smallest unit - the one I got appears much larger

The grills Bucees carried about 6 years ago were made by Wilkes Bad Ass Pits in Conroe. I actually got on the phone with Bucees (they no longer use that supplier) and they were the ones that told me they were from Wilkes. I got my husband a customized Aggie pit from them for Christmas a couple of years ago. It's awesome quality.

folks have one very similar w/o the swing off feature. they do steaks on it with big groups but otherwise it's just an outdoor pit.

Yeah, we bought it for our beach house which has a lot of rental use. Used the last one to cook some really good fajitas. Bet it's great for steaks. A lot of the renters like to use it for S'mores.
