Cost based on customization? It seems solid but too heavy for one man to move? Dimensions?

It actually only weighs about 40lbs. Adding a handle and small wheels is a very easy fix to any ideas on it not being easy to move around. The legs can also be made to unbolt for ease of storage. As for the dimensions, the one pictured had jet burners that they recommend have a foot of clearance between the pot and burner. Burning one of these with a standard burner would probably be a bit more of a compact version. This was just something that built for the burners he was wanting to use. Let me tell you too...those jet burners are unreal and hot.

Yes sir, I do paint also. But I usually am willing to do pretty standard things for customers, I know I can build something perfect, not so much on someone's opinion of paints. Now if you want high heat black or something simple, I can do that for sure. I have access to sand blasting equipment to be able to do it right.

Eventually will he interested. Lot of money going out lately but here in a couple months...

Would be interested in something like the picture with ATM on 2 sides and stars on the other like you have, painted in a maroon gloss enamel type paint.

How much would something like that cost

Yes sir I charged 300 a piece for these. But with that I give you the option of what you want your cut outs (as long as it's within reason.) to be, and if you want the handle and/or castors on it. My shop is located outside of Luling, Tx but depending on your location this might be something that could be shipped.

The cutouts are no charge as long as it's something simple like what you're asking. As far as the maroon enamel goes, I still believe these get fairly warm, not sure if a enamel would last. Now you can get high heat paints in different colors. I guess my only concern would be your using it and some of the paint eventually peeling and me getting a bad wrap. Other than that, I'd love to build you one.

I'm going to stick with my $39.95 Single Burner Turkey Frier and my two Double Burner Cookers that cost me $69.95 and $50.00 (garage sale).

Looks like you do great work though, looks like government pricing though!

Yes, your $40 aluminum burners work fine. This will have a (potentially have) a lot hotter burner, will be sturdier, and will look better.

Some will want it, some won't. Just like a yeti

Good work and good products deserve good compensation. Its a specialty product, I'm not looking to cut my prices and put fryer manufacturers out of business. I'm looking to build a nice and unique product for someone who wants to dress up their porch, or have a conversation piece to use and show off at a tailgate. Thanks for the compliment on the work though.

As someone who welds, I think $300 is reasonable for something that will last forever.

Here come the price bandits. People that can't build complain the most. Awesome product!

That's actually what these are for, he has a badass jet burner it is said to boil water in no time. Well let's work something out. I'm down to hear trades on guns, golf clubs, etc.

If a few of you guys would be interested I'll bring my price down to 250. If I can sell three or four of these it's worth it.

You mean to tell me after cost of materials you want a Whopping $200 dollars for your labor (total cost + batteries $885) let alone it takes about 3 days from welding painting and re-assembly. I know how you feel. And it's not even my full time job.

LMAO - I guess my custom made BBQ Trailer puts that claim in the full if BS category.

Price gouging isn't an art form, it's a choice... And small single person buyers don't have buying power to compete with mass manufacturing. Even my cheap mass produced products have heavy cast iron burners instead of cheap aluminum burners... I love it when generalization fails.

The man isn't price gouging, at all, imo. Not for the level of work, customization, and quality.

Sometimes this forum beats all I've ever seen. You come in here claiming to build custom stuff, yet crap all over another aggies thread for not doing things the way you think they should be done when the people he IS doing business with are happy with the product.

Seriously, start your own thread, and quit screwing with his.

So besides all that, anyone interested in buying one?
