Why does each class of Yell boys feel like they need to leave their mark on Aggie lore. We don't need new yells...we don't want new yells. Get rid of that damn Rocket yell too. It makes me throw up in my mouth a little. Stop drawing out the Farmers Fiiiiiiiiiigggghhhht. Stop changing sh*t! I don't adjust well to change.

Hate to say this....but tehkkk is the loudest game in Kyle every other year.

If the yell boys keep drawing out the damn "iiiiighhht" after every farmer's fight, we need to get a bunch of old army types to have a discussion with them after the game and see if we can come to an understanding on it...

The whole farmer's fight yell should be over in under 10 seconds, tops...

if we jumped up and down on the bleachers like the hokies, i'm pretty sure we would have some serious injuries... those first deck bleachers are far from sturdy

Does anyone attribute this to threads on the subject from TexAgs earlier this summer?

1) Most of the time I dread the new year because that means the new yell leaders will try to find a way on how they are going to leave their mark. New Yell, Old Yell, whatever.
But, if they decide to use this "Stomp" yell in place of Skyrocket then I am all for it. That yell needs to be thrown into the Brazos and out into the ocean never to be heard from ever again.

2) VaTech has a badass entrance, they have it right. Pump up your crowd then school fight song. Thats a good balance.

Every year at the first few Yells and even at Fish Camp the Yell Leaders tell the crowd to not draw it out. People are just too ****ing stupid to listen.

All I have to say is that she said it was an awesome yell and she has been to a few yell practices with me and never got all that excited. She was really excited for this.

I went to a Tech game last year against lowly Cincinnati, and their entrance is AWESOME. Gave me goosebumps, especially with the Metallica entrance music...however, once the game started, the atmosphere definitely went downhill pretty quickly and it was NOTHING (not even close) to Kyle Field...on a bad day.

I will be making the drive down for the first game of the season and looking forward to it already! Should be something special.

So did the yell leaders sway back and forth by themselves while leading the yell? That might be slightly amusing.

This sounds very different from other (poor) attempts at "new" yells. In the past, they've brought back old yells (Skyrocket, Kyle Field) or repackaged existing things (Saw 'em Off) or a combination (anyone remember "Wrecking Crew" where we yelled Wrecking Crew a few times and then all just yelled "Aaa" at the end in an attempt to formalize what we naturally do on defense?).

This bleacher stomp fiasco sounds like something completely new and I'm sure will come off as dumb as it sounds. If you allow something to happen naturally, fine. This artificial attempt is going to fall flat.

I wish the yell boys would stop trying to "leave their mark" every year.

Bleacher stomping does not need to be coordinated. It needs to occur whenever we're on defense -- every play -- while people are yelling their guts out to make it impossible for the opposing offense to hear.

Thats just what we need..the loudest fan base in the nation jumping up and down on the bleacher...If I remember correctly, there was barely enough room to stand at most games last year let alone jump up and down on the bleachers...Asking for trouble and injuries if you ask me!!

Plus, Aluminum gets stress cracks pretty easily...the athletic department is going to be pissed when they end up having to spend a few mil to replace all the bleachers as a safety hazard much earlier than anticipated.

TxTech does the bleacher bouncing thing before every kickoff, and manages to break at least one bleacher every game.
