I went to high school in Atlanta Texas....our mascot was The Rabbits. Not even Jackrabbits like Forney. We were simply, The Rabbits. I can't decide if that's worse than the Unicorns of NB. But I will say after a river trip I stopped at the McD's in NB and saw a little kid in a purple shirt that said "Future Unicorn"...at first I thought he was just a little ghey in training until I was informed that this was the mascot of NB. laughed me arse off at that one...

My mom graduated from FW Poly in the early 60s and I have seen her yearbook "The Parrot".
One of my favorites is the Happy Cowboys.

oh yeah...when i was in high school in ATL we played frisco (north dallas) and at the time they were the coons. they later had to change it to the raccoons. wonder why?

I know live in the Chicago suburbs. There are supposed to be more mascot names in Illinois than any other state. I think half of the teams in East Texas are Bulldogs and the other half are Tigers.
