SwampFox is a complainer. They wanted to get it ready for the football team and they will complete the outside to your liking, just be patient.

As far as indoor facilities go I see no real difference between the one we are building and that of Texas or the Cowboys. If we are shooting for something aesthetically pleasing then we shouldve thougt about that in 1876.

Why is brick such a concern? Put the money elsewhere, although I'm not saying out of athletics.

It will be fine when it is finished.

Ok, complain about one thing and get labeled a "complainer." I call it realism but fine, whatever, but when they "finish" them both and the rest of you guys hop on the "it's ugly" bandwagon I'll just sit back and laugh at the hypocrisy.

That's crap!

They didn't even have enough money to finish putting up the walls on the inside! Look at all that insulation that you can see!

Thanks Paris. From the drawings, I believe the track section will not only be adjacent to the football field, but will also be connected. If you look at the "inside" photo you can see on your right where the yellow "temporary" material goes all the way to the top. I think that is supposed to be an opening between the two sections. If the two sections are going to be connected then it makes sense that they have not put up the brick facade yet until the second section is completed.

that being said, for those complaining here are a few things to repeat in your head until you calm down:

1. It's not completed yet and as such the finishing touches which will make it more visually appealing are not there yet
2. Byrne knows that perception is extremely important not only to recruits but the individuals that donated money. As such, it will certainly be dressed up before completion
3. Byrne has not built or improve a facility at A&M without it looking at least as attractive as the rest of the campus. Here are examples: bright complex looks very sharp, the improvements/sprucing up of Kyle Field have been well received, and the upgrades of the soccer complex, softball field, etc. are definitely an improvement
4. It's not completed yet!!!!!

I heard they were not going to put up a brick facade because a pad would have to be added all around the inside of the complex. They said the material was strong enough to take the hit and would not need the pad if the brick wall was not added to the outside, so they got rid of it.

Not sure what else they plan on doing to it to dress it up, but I think an A&M seal would look pretty nice.

SwampFox do you ever do anything except complain? Geez ....

This guy and 1876 sound like long lost twins. Maybe they should meet up and talk about every negative thing they can think of.
