Edit: I change my mind, I'm against it. I know its about building it, you only burn it to get it out of the way so you can do it next year... but students come to A&M these days for different reasons than they did in even the 90's. You won't draw the numbers required to build a Bonfire of previous sizes, so you'll have to ask the few who do show up to put in overtime. Grades will suffer, and some will have to drop out of school. I don't support that. I would support a Dartmouth style bonfire that doesn't require many hours and is still a respectable size of fire.

RockOn, I respectfully disagree with you. There are plenty of students on campus right now that would be willing to build it. I guarantee that.

It would not affect the grades anymore than it did in the past.
