Man, I know we are a work in progress in seeing the success of Byrne's leadership...

But, ever since he came to Aggieland, the horns have just EXPLODED with championships...

Something for the conspiracy theorists to chew on???

Because the Lone Star Showdown has never meant so little to me now...

TAMU's athletics marketing slogan is "Building Champions," right? Don't you dare question The Bill!

Well, technically we are building champions out of other teams, so Bill actually isn't misleading anyone.

we went from "Building Champions" to "Building teams that barely beat Baylor"

Byrne sure has built champions in Austin. Leave him alone. Won't be long before Byrne has Rick Barnes cutting down the nets.

Way to go Bill!! You are the man. Where do I send my money??

Trust me, Im not Byrne's biggest fan, but since his arrival, both basketball teams, track, softball, soccer, tennis, swimming- theyve all gotten better. The secondary sports are all doing very well right now. Basketball has again become a focus on campus.

The problem has been our 2 signature sports, football and baseball, have struggled. Granted, I think baseball is still fine, football has been a mess. We have to have a 9 or 10 win season this coming year at minimum. We have to counter this tu championship with a season that shows we still have a pulse in football. We need to pummel the non-conference schedule, and then walk into Kyle and smack Tech, reassert ourselves in the state. Go into Baylor and hit them in the face. That is what has to be done, and we're paying Fran $2 million a year to figure out the way to get it done.

I would not say t.u. exploded...

...they have had strong athletic programs accross the board for as long as I can remember. Individual sports have up and down years, but as whole they are always strong.

Every Big XII event I've been to they always have strong support...to a point where it's impressive and annoying at the same time.

I believe I also heard on the radio at one point that t.u. and Nebraska have two of the largest athletic budgets in the nation, with t.u. the larger of the two. Byrne was directing that Nebraska juggernaut.

So I would not call it exploding..and certainly would not pin it on Byrne...give HIS coaching hires time. Coach G looks good, and we'll see how Aggie Baseball does here shortly.

Thank God, I was beginning to think we'd never get any respect for these programs!

Hey, I'm not blaming Byrne for anything...

I'm just saying since he's been here t.u. has won

National Championship in Baseball
National Championship in Football

The Best Basketball Team in the Big 12...

So, obviously they have "circled the wagons" since he's arrived...

It's like NAFTA...

...sure President Clinton signed the bill into law...

...but it was 41 that negotiated the deal.

...tu's success has nothing to do with our Bill's arrival in office. That process started long before.
