I have some respect for the tu band after their tribute in 1999 - at Kyle - to fallen Aggies. This was not good bull, it was classless.

Good grief, folks. To paraphrase Sgt. Hulka, "Lighten up, Francis". Some of y'all are carrying on like he is a career criminal. So he threw horse turds at the sip band. Big deal. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. While I don't condone his actions, it just ain't that big of a deal.

You'd think the Cav Jock had broken someone's nose or something.

Quit trying to burn the kid at the stake. He did something stupid. It was lousy judgement. Whether it embarrassed the University or not shouldn't influence his punishment. The punishment should be the same whether he did it with or without an audience.

Why do you want to mess up this kid's life by kicking him out of A&M? He made a mistake. You've probably done something foolish in your life too. Maybe not in front of such a large audience, but if I TIVO'd your life, I could probably find something that you'd prefer not to bring up.

Let him stay at A&M. Let him stay in the Corps. Let him stay in PMC. Punish him according to what the law says is appropriate for the offense. Require him to write letters of apology. Give him restricted weekends for the Spring semester. Put him on Probation.

Don't try to make an example of him. Justice is rarely served by treating people as an opportunity to make an example.
