Yes, won there in '97. CU is a team that we have traditionally had trouble with.

BTW, In RC's worst year EVER at A&M, he still had a top 30 defense and a 6-6 record. He NEVER had a losing season. He beat 3 different #1 teams in his tenure at A&M. He had us contending for the South and Big 12 almost every year. He won the SWC several times.

I still wish we would have given him 2003 and see what he could have done before ditching him, at least.

That is too bad. I'd rather cycle through coaches, than to be content with a Top 10 salaried coach who delivers Top 20-25ish seasons.

Have we forgotten RC's loss to SWLa (Div-1AA)?! Also, RC didn't finish every year with a 9/10 win season and a Cotton/BCS bowl.

At least we used to have "big games".

Firing RC was a no-brainer; the only question that is relevant is whether or not Fran should be next? (in 7 or 8 years).

The way this game is played is you keep firing coaches until you find one that wins. You don’t stick with a crappy one because you’re afraid your next one might also be crappy.

Have we forgotton Slocum's wins, which included victories over #1 Nebraska in 98, #1 OU in 2002, and #1 KSU in 98 in the Big 12 title game (biggest win in A&M's modern era). He can within 1 bad pass from beating #1 OU in 2000, One fumble away from beating top 5 FSU in 98, etc.

The man could coach, and he won alot of big games for this program.

Oh yes they were. Louisiana-Lafeyette didn't become D1 until 2001.
