Matt Baumgartner sure made some big plays

Say what you want to about Porter's catch against OU, but Bum's catch against K State was arguably the best catch in ATM history.

Second to maybe his catch against the sips in '99.

Baumgartner was money. He made catches like that all the time. It seemed like you could throw anything within 5 yards of him and he'd come up with it.

I can never think of his name, but boy did he make some big catches.

What down was that?

everyone remembers Bums catch in '99 against Texas but he made a hell of a catch in the '98 game as well.
It was on our last drive, I dont think it was 4th down, I think 3rd and Randy Mc underthru Bum, put the ball batween him and the defender and Bum stopped came back for the ball and caught the ball falling out of bounds at about the 4 yard line to set up the go ahead score for the Ags..of course it didnt last too long

I will never forget the '98 Big XII championship game. I was working on three 20+page final papers at the end of first semester, but had yahoo open on my browser. I rememeber walking from the computer lab at the LXR building on Georgetown's campus and walking up to my apartment in Village A -- where I tuned in to see Toya Jones stop the K-state receiver at the goal line to force overtime.

After Parker's TD, I have never cheered as loud in my life.

But Bumgartner's catch set it all up. Still one of the defining moments in Big XII history.

One of my favorite players of all times. When he wasn't catching the ball, he was a devastating blocker.

He's from the Lu and hes proud

I remember him playing in high school. After I found out that he was going to A&M, I was floored that I had actually seen someone in my high school district go to D1.
