How long do you want to ignore this user?
If I am on Row 60 on the first deck, will I have any trouble seeing the field or the scoreboard? How low is the overhang, I'm just wondering if it's like I'm sitting in a cave.

The Ags played SMU at the Cotton Bowl stadium back in about '93. My wife and I sat under the overhang and liked the seats. I seem to remember a support beam occasionally blocking some of my view. It never seemed like I was "in a cave," and the view was good.

I've got tickets on Row 65. I've asked around, and found out the following:

You should be able to see the entire field, unless you are right behind a pillar (Row 52, I believe), and then you might have 10% obstruction, which can be avoided by leaning forward, back, etc.

You may have to lean to get a view of the video screen/scoreboard, but I believe there are miniature scoreboards up under the overhang w/ time, score, down and distance.

If it's raining, drizzling, or sleeting, you'll be very thankful. If it's cold and sunny, you'll be wishing you weren't under the overhang. Dress warmly either way, because it can be cold and windy underneath there.

It feels a little bit cave-like. There are 66 rows and the pillars are at row 48. I've been under there twice and the pillars didn't bother me. However, like mentioned above, the wind whipping through there can be pretty damn cold - so make sure you bring more stuff to keep warm than you normally might think you need.

I sat under the overhang in Section 23 in the mid 80's. I can't remember which row, but you lose sight of the ball on punts and long passes. Unfortunately, it wasn't raining so I didn't get to enjoy the perk of being under the overhang.

one thing to look for is printed on the ticket itself (or at least they used to)...if your seat is in one of those spots that have an obstruction, there is an OV (obstructed view) printed next to the seat number....

I sat under the over hang, probably around row 60 for the 93(?) ND game. Absolutely horrible, in my opinion. Yes, you could see the field, but it felt like you were watching it through the end of a long hollow tube. I'd rather be anywhere in the stadium than there, but that's just me.
