I think Bowden is over-rated. Gimme me a break! Everyone has made excuses for Rix; Bowden needs to go with someone else. I might not know alot about college football, but I do know 2 fumbles and 2 bad interceptions from a 4 year starter is bad. I don't know what is worse Rix's performamce or the fact that Bowden has started him for UMP-teenth time.

That is pretty much what RC said about some of our fans, but he got railed on for saying it.

Except Bowden has the charisma to be creative about it, as well as some very big skins on the wall to help back it up.

The guy makes a point.

Some guy on ESPN said something along the lines of, from all the coaches that began teaching in the 1960's, Bowden has adapted the best to the way the game has evolved over that time. I couldn't agree more.

With all due respect, anybody that thinks of Bowden as being overrated should at least appreciate the fact that he has won 2 national titles and has his team perenially ranked in the top 10(although not so much lately). I think the term overrated is better suited for coaches who whipped up on a hapless dying conference but then struggled once he entered the Big 12.

Kinda funny, but a stupid comparison. Brain surgery and Football coaching, cannot be compared. Maybe he thinks football is a difficult subject just like the interworkings of a brain.

Sounds like comments RC made when he was on his way out. The man is frustrated and confused and is lashing out like a scared raccoon.

Friend of mine told me a story about a time about 20-25 years ago when Bowden had one scholarship up for grabs and didn't know which of 2 walk-ons to give it to. He brought them in a room, just the 3 of them, and told them to settle it between themselves..........then he left.

Talk about last man standing!

There is more to football than just watching it. When a QB throws an interception...a fan watching from the stands or on tv can't tell you if it was a bad throw, or if the WR ran the wrong route.

I believe Richard Chamberlain played Dr. Kildare. I'm old as hell, huh?

Bowden is stubborn, sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes not. Rix sucks, and that's that. He may also be the best that Bobby's got, so he's gotta ride that horse and defend him as best he can.
