Exactly. No guts reporters. Only pitching cotton balls. Olin used to ask the tough ones but he has backed down to the minor league questions.

Real journalism in sports, politics, business, and entertainment is dead.

Most so-called journalists these days are really just online influencers who find a niche audience to support them financially and then feed the audience with what they want to read and hear.

Also there is the segment of the media that sucks up to the program they follow so they don't lose access.

Hmmm… is there a correlation, or maybe even a cause & effect, between Texags business growth and success and the Aggies football team's stagnation over the past few decades?

I wonder if Texags would bench itself if it gave the Aggies a better chance of winning?

Thread title is very confusing as this is OU OC.

The answer is their QB and OL suck.

Mateer is marginally better than Reed, but better. Our OL and RBs are marginally better than OU. Their D is much better. Aggies will lose in Norman by 20 points and their OC won't have to face such questions that day.

Been saying this for years. The kind of years we look back wistfully on are considered down years to the types of programs we consider our peers and they measure successful seasons by championships.

That OC guy should hang on for a couple of weeks because Elko and crew will be there to make him look like Einstein in the 3rd & 4th quarters.

For the most part defense is not the issue with us other than they get worn down watching our offense punt and turn the ball over repeatedly.

#106 in total offense . Absurdly bad.


OU is even worse . # 111.


Mateer and Reed look like the same player to me. OL play is some of it but they both are ridiculously bad wrt timing, not seeing open receivers, missing routine throws and the dreaded hesitate/scramble/get sacked routine.

And you're probably right. Just like the play by play announcers who won't ask the HC or the AD the "elephant in the room" questions but only ask about the new weight room facilities.
