Don't laugh it off. Go watch the Nick Marshall, Tre Mason days at Auburn. Only thing I would add is more veer concepts.
He is retired, according to Wikipedia. No information about him selling insurance at this time.

" The question is Wiggins an Elko or Alberts decision"
They both better realize the dire situation we have and be ruthless.
Kendall Briles sounds like a great choice. Upping his salary to $3 million to recruit him would be chicken feed compared to the alternative of replacing the HC.
As OC or HC?

Gus Malzahn is 10 times the coach that LLLLko is.
Ask Auburn if they would fire him again given the chance to do it all over?
Stupidest move that program's made in years....

Unpopular opinion, but Wiggins is the biggest problem. You have a quarterback whose career numbers make it clear that his best shot of completing passes is out of the play action. Yet we don't run the ball nearly enough, and the amount of PA passing we have done has been minimal compared to last season. Go back to the Alabama film and look at the plays where Marcel was cooking. For a minute it looked like Wiggins had finally gotten the memo, but then he went back to his awful ways.
And our short yardage play calling is some of the worst and most poorly-conceived that I've ever seen. First, we almost always sub out players which gives the defense the chance to do the same to match personnel and delays our ability to snap the ball before they're set; then we try to run for 1 yard out of the shotgun up the middle in an obvious running play, and rarely even get back to the line of scrimmage.
The guy stinks as a play caller and doesn't know how to scheme his offense in order to get the best out of his players. Marcel hasn't regressed so much as he's not being put into position to succeed. I'm not saying that he's a world-beater at QB, but Klein understood these things and built an offensive system that took them into consideration.
lol
They guy can't complete a 5 yard pass to a wide open receiver. There's no scheme where that is successful.
The other issue with Marcel is, even if he could make the throws, he bails out of the pocket BACKWARDS as soon as pressure gets within 5 yards of him. This doesn't allow pass routes to develop and with his back turned doesn't allow any means to find someone while scrambling. It just makes him totally useless.

And turns a 7 yd loss into a 15 yd loss. Always step up into the pocket with eyes down field. If nothing is there scramble out through a gap with an up field vector. Marcel is not so fast that he can scramble back then around SEC defenders

Young Shanahan called a gem yesterday too. Why can't we explore that mind and pedigree?
Elko doesn't want anyone on the staff that he might feel inferior to, he has shown himself to be incredibly thin skinned and self conscious
