Give credit where credit is due.
Baylor had the courage to do what needed to be done.
We are stuck w/ Elko for at least one more year.
However, I think Elko knows he is going to have to replace some staff in order to look like he is doing something.
Things can't remain the same going into next year.

I saw some ridiculous chatter on social media about Lincoln Riley going to Baylor. I don't see that happening. Unless USC wants to pawn him off.

This was inevitable after two years. They are doing it in year 5. If you want to give credit to someone, its not the school who flailed around for 3 years with a coach that was clearly in over his head in an absolutely garbage league.

In that league, especially, coaching makes a giant difference. Almost all of those programs are on close to equal footing, more so than any other power conference. Aranda was too easy to recruit against, as dead man walking. Once you start losing, the team and the fans quit on you. There's no going back.

Baylor will do the Oklahoma State (from UNT) bit here. They will hire Traylor at UTSA or Kinne at Texas State and the traffic up 35 will be very high as these players and coaches get bought by Baylor.

Nothing ridiculous about this at all. In fact, I think there's a good chance that Lincoln ends up in Waco if the Tech job doesn't open up

I think Baylor is more likely to go after a G6 head coach as opposed to a coordinator from a top P4 school.

So the top 4 G6 schools right now by Massey composite rankings.

Boise St.
UTSA
James Madison
New Mexico

So if I had to guess, based only on power rankings and location, my first guess is Jeff Traylor at UTSA.


And just as an update, Art Briles is 0-7 at D2 Eastern New Mexico

Reed's been playing so bad, it's hard to gauge Wiggins play calling at all.
It's not on Wiggins when your QB1 can't hit the ocean when he's standing on the beach.

Many times this year he's dialed up a good play, with guys open. Marcel then proceeds to either throw a bounce pass or sail it into the stands.
Or before KJ secured the starting spot, we'd have running lanes with Owens running into the backs of OL traffic instead of cutting over to the daylight and more yards.

For a good part of the Bama game, Wiggins looked pretty darn good.
Even when the execution wasn't great (like on some WR screens), the play call itself was solid. Even had some nice change-ups thrown in there on occasion.

Could Wiggins be upgraded? Sure.
But i don't think Wiggins is to blame for the craptastic offense we've been watching this year.

This is true. BUT, its also the offensive coordinators job to coordinate the offense... and the offense has been bad across the board except for KJ and Morrow running well. The Oline is inconsistent at best, receivers dropping balls, andOwens being Owens. You are right, Reed has been horrific. The rest of the offense has also been bad too though. Maybe the play calls are good, but the whole offense is broken. But maybe thats just because we cannot pass because Reed is so bad.

I'd rather keep Wiggins over Spav. About the only OC I'd choose Spav over is Mazzone.

If Lincoln knew USC would end up in the Big 10 he never would have gone there. It's probably the reason he left OU in the first place. Big 12 is more his speed

Have u not heard the tech billionaire was pizzed about losing to Cincinnati. He made remarks that college team have owners now or something of the sort. Also hinted at implications for McGuire if he doesn't make playoffs or something vaguely worded.
