ESPN FPI gives us the following chances for our remaining 4 games:

The biggest issue is that A&M does not have a game left in which it's clearly favored. The highest win probability is only 47.7% against Tennessee, so ESPN sees every remaining game as either a toss-up or an underdog situation, with the Texas game (25.5%) being the steepest challenge.

Given these numbers, 6-6 is the most likely outcome, with 5-7 not far behind, and 7-5 requiring A&M to outperform the model in at least one game.

I think our next home game against Tennessee on 11/14 would be our best chance of winning another SEC game because Tenneses has struggled in their two SEC road games: 24-17 road win over Arkansas on 10/10 and a 27-24 road loss to South Carolina yesterday. Our best chance for a road win is at South Carolina on 11/7. Winning these two games would be our best path to reaching bowl eligibility because we would clinch bowl eligibility before our last two games against Oklahoma and Texas.

Could end up 4-8 but Ill go with ceiling of 6-6. Either way this is amazingly far off expectations and a disaster of a season that will be very difficult to rebound from. Even if elko retools everything, next year could look just as bad with all new cast. Im bearish on us for next few years.

I think you may have failed to account for the fact that we are bad at football with very few signs of improvement throughout the year. Unlike the rest of the up and down SEC we are pretty consistently ****ty.
