The sooner some of you realize that this is going to be the new way college football operates, the better. Its the pros now and every team is married to the guys they are paying the most. The good news is that every player is on a one year contract and hopefully we can move on from Reed after this season. All playing Hart does, is raise his price and create a bidding war. This season is Reed's and next will be Edwards and hopefully a more competent QB. I do wish would see Hart as I would like to win now but his success would ultimately cost us more financially.

Y'all need to step away from the ledge. Elko went 11-1 last year which is our best season in 32 years. We also play in the SEC which is by far the best conference in the entire league. He did make some questionable hires in the offseason but he will learn from it and we will be okay next year. We have to bring in a 5 star QB and a stud OC. Let Elko take care of the defense and this will right the ship. Next year we make the playoffs.

He did well in years 1 & 2. Year 3 has been questionable and he will get years 4 & 5 to make the necessary adjustments.

Yes, I am still on the Elk-Mobile. I just hope he makes some bold moves for next year. This year seems done.

I never was on the Elko bandwagon. But I get we are stuck with him for another year, possibly two. But I struggle with the optimism here for him. Take away the fact that we are stuck with him. Do you still like what's he's done? To me, last year was a fluke as we didn't play the top tier SEC schools. We saw our quarterback peak and has thoroughly regress this year.

So what is it that people see that I don't? Year 3 and we are staring a 4-8 season. That's not progress. His decisions come across as weak with the intent to not hurt feelings or disrupt anything. He doesn't seem like the guy I would want running a $45 million dollar business with your highest employee at $3 million being as subpar as you can get. God forbid that Reed gets hurt. Then what? Fold because Hart isn't ready?

Other than the fact we are stuck with him, what is it most on this thread see that makes him "be the coach" for A&M?

I can see him learning from the off-season mistakes, but not replacing Reed shows who is as a coach. He needs to be gone the day burnt beats him for the third time in a row.

May be a stretch, but if Elmo can be fired for cause and forfeit his buyout, go after him for referring to a good portion of the Aggie Fanbase as a collective cesspool. Disrespect and unacceptable to Aggies everywhere. Not promoting support for those that pay his ridiculous contract. Truly not the Aggie Way.

Elko continuing to say he thinks Reed is our best option without trying another option is a very bad indication in my opinion.
