Coach Elko,

Please do the right thing and step down. You are in over your head and look like a drowning man every time you are interviewed. Some coordinators are not suited to be head coaches. Just like some Wide Receiver coaches are not meant to be Coordinators.

Your refusal to bench Marcel is beyond ridiculous. It's like you are putting your pride ahead of the team and the program. WHY?? The team deserves better.

He had the easiest schedule in history last year and still **** the bed the last 2 games. Same coach will go 4-8 year. He needs to go but he won't so we are stuck in purgatory.

Y'all need to step away from the ledge. Elko went 11-1 last year which is our best season in 32 years. We also play in the SEC which is by far the best conference in the entire league. He did make some questionable hires in the offseason but he will learn from it and we will be okay next year. We have to bring in a 5 star QB and a stud OC. Let Elko take care of the defense and this will right the ship. Next year we make the playoffs.

I agree with him. All he has to do is bench the worst qb in the league. Stats back that up. But his stubbornness won't allow it. I've always been a big fan of Elko but this is tedicuoous. Ridiculous
Sad that such a solid man and coach can't see beyond the trees. He says that he is not putting the best team on the field, but still running Marcel out there. This is ridiculous.

What makes anyone thinking that benching Reed is going to help, given the current offensive coaching staff. They've completely ruined a 3rd year starting QB, and they will probably do the same with Hart.

The truth about him probably lies in the middle, but the schedule last year certainly played a bigger role in that season than a lot of us wanted to admit to before.

Stud 5* QB who pans out and a good OC like Kliff and many of our problems will be solved.

The 2012 Team was FAR better and more competitive than the 2026 team. We just had an easy schedule last year. With the 2025 Playoff format, I think there is a good chance the 2012 team would have ended the season #2.

Agree we can't fire the coach, but the undeniable dilemma that is driving that narrative is who really believes our record would be this bad with any other coaching staff in the SEC (minus Piggy) with our same roster.

People are mad since it's a bad year for us, but it's not like the Aggies have had the long term success of Bama, LSU, and Ohio State. Let Elko learn from his mistakes and we will be fine next year. He did well in years 1 & 2. Year 3 has been questionable and he will get years 4 & 5 to make the necessary adjustments.
