1) not realizing exactly what he had at OC and QB
2) not securing a decent backup if he thought we didnt have one
3) refusing to make ANY change at QB, EVER no matter the situation
4) down 11 with 3:50 left needing 6 yards and he raises the white flag giving the opponent the ball

After #4, it seems it would be hard for any serious player to bust his ass for this coach who is first to give up.

he is incredibly stubborn. like a person that messes crap up with at work by doing stupid things over and over and when you point them out they burr up and do nothing differently…. because they are too arrogant to even consider admitting their way doesn't work even when you can prove it. it's more about not being told what to do for people like this - contrarians.

I really don't know elko's problems in not adjusting and trying to win.

winning is all that matters. We ain't here to raise kids.

Elko should be smart enough and mature enough to understand what is at stake

and yet, his coaching practice or lack of befuddles me since I don;t believe he is a silly person...

and yet here we are???

from thinking we had one of the top 2 coaches in SEC to thinking we might have one
of the worst.

You realize Elko is a defensive coach, right? Yet, make a list of all the offensive issues.

Yes, he's a head coach but it's clear he sucks at making decisions regarding the offense.

He is the 3rd coach on a row that the cesspool has bragged about after one season of good football.

I know you are just venting and now trying to justify your venting. But again, you detailing out Elko not being good at things that are not that surprising he's not good at cracks me up.

There is a bright side to him not being an offensive guy. He should be able to go a whole new route and hire a new OC and a system that is competent in the offseason.

Yes, i use "wow" fairly regularly.

I'm still trying to figure out why you would be surprised that the 5 "deficiencies" or what have you that I mention would all be on the offensive side of the ball.

He is the head coach, one of the most "intelligent" coaches by all accounts (including his own) and is ABSOLUTELY EXPECTED to be more than competent to make decisions in those areas.

Have you not noticed a common theme here: that almost everyone here is pissed off by his actions on the OFFENSIVE side of the ball and even calling for his head because of it?

And here you come saying oh well , he's a defensive coach- he cant really be expected to be good at that. WHAT????
