I'm sure having the softest schedule this side of your wife's pillowy, cellulite-ridden left butt cheek had absolutely nothing to do with that.
There was all that talk at the end of the year about how easy it was, and yet every Saturday the analysts and writers picked against us because, "A&M is a good team, but it's just hard in the SEC and every team CAN beat you," except they didn't beat us and then after we won, it was because, "oh, well ________ actually isn't that good this year." You can't put us on notice every week for a loss against a solid opponent and then logically say we are overrated after we beat the team that you picked to beat us.
- We went TO Notre Dame and won
- We beat an Auburn team that should've been 4-0 if refs hadn't let OU run an illegal trick play
- We beat a 4-1 Miss State team whose season fell apart after we played them because we injured their star RB
- Beat Florida by 3 scores
- Survived a rivalry game on the road at Arkansas
- Doubled up LSU in Death Valley (where nobody wins on the road, according to everyone at ESPN)
- Beat 6-2 Mizzou on the road
- Did what every good team does and started slow against South Carolina but had the 2nd half of the decade to win
- Our OC started his next job at about this time of the year so I don't want to keep going
The only bad teams we played were Florida, who we handled with ease, and Arkansas, which is a low grade rivalry on the road and we still won. Again, we were CONSTANTLY picked to lose against many of these teams because they were labeled as "good" before we made them look bad.
