The TMF just emailed me to let me know that if I want 2027 season tickets, I'd better get in line to make my commitment quickly. Apparently they are expected to be in "high demand".
Keep in mind: they took away the Gig em pass this year after four seasons of enjoying that with my family. Then as a consolation, they said I would be able to get in the lottery to buy season tickets on June 9, but when my window came up there were none available. This was all in the aftermath of the playoff game ticket sale debacle when I was supposed to get a shot to buy seats, but my window was closed three hours before it even opened because they let people bulk by and gouge on the resale.
All this to say: talk about a swing and a miss from a planning/optics perspective. My family doesn't have the ability to go to a lot of games, but we definitely enjoyed the access of going to one (sometimes two) a year via the gig em pass. I was a little sour after all that unfolded, but watching the team implode this year after they decided to run up the cost of tickets feels a little like justice. I will not be buying 2027 season tickets, but I will continue to scout opportunities to buy tickets to individual games as we are able in the future. Perhaps having a son going there next fall will give us more incentive to pay up a little in order to go, but our entire experience going back to the Miami game leaves me feeling like an unappreciated patron.
