Can someone explain what a senior offense analyst and 8 offense analysts actually do (job description) to help the offense position coaches / coordinator?

I didn't count the defense analysts but I'm sure the number is comparable to number on offense.

I made the mistake of looking at TAMU football staff. I'm sure it's no different than most other P4 programs.
It's certainly different than the days of Stallings / Bellard and the NCAA limits.

Analyzing video of upcoming opponents would be my guess. I am sure have other responsibilities. My guess is they are looking for trends, what def tend to do in certain situations what plays offenses run out of certain formations etc. then they get that info to the coordinators.
